Woolgar Hunter is the engineering consultant on this prestigious development, supporting the Soller Group in their successful planning application, undertaken by Mosaic architects. The scheme is for 290,000 sqft of Grade A office space near the Broomielaw in Glasgow.
This Grade A office development is situated in Glasgow's International Financial Services District. This prime city centre site is located between Carrick Street and Brown Street within close proximity to Atlantic Quay. Carrick Square will Introduce a new public plaza joining Brown and Carrick streets to the immediate north of the development, which will double as the main entrance. The high-quality office will offer panoramic views of the city with large, clear span, flexible floor plates featuring extensive floor to ceiling glazing to maximise daylight.
The building structure consists of a steel frame with reinforced concrete core supported on deep insitu bored piles. The drainage strategy has been developed in consultation with Scottish Water to meet their sustainable requirements. Further to this Phase 1 Development, Woolgar Hunter are now working with Mosiac Architects on the Phase 2 site.
